Aseess is an empathetic, curious and driven individual, with diverse experience across clinical work and research in mental health care. She is presently working as a Mental Health Therapist in the state of Washington, USA, primarily working with adolescents and young adults. She embraces a trauma-informed approach, and follows an eclectic therapy model utilizing CBT, DBT, REBT as well as client-centered therapy.

Nurturing her passion for research in the area of adolescent mental health intervention, she continues to work as a research associate at the Lab for Youth Mental Health, Harvard University and RAVE Lab at UNC-Chapel Hill, USA. She is an active research support for projects at PsychLine.in as well, presently working on a study in Cyberbullying and another in reciprocity in Global Health. Previously she has worked as a researcher and clinician in community mental health settings in India, including the Dept.of Psychiatry and National Drug Dependency Center at AIIMS, New Delhi. She strongly believes in cross-cultural collaboration and has participated at global forums including the World Anti-Bullying Forum and WHO School Mental Health Implementation Working Group, as an advocate for mental and social well-being of adolescents.

As a therapist, she strongly believes in fostering a safe and enriching space for her clients to engage in therapeutic work, and actively adapts her approach to best suit her clients’ needs. She is a constant learner who consistently upgrades her skills and knowledge, and integrates her experiences to add depth to the therapy space. Writing is her favorite medium of expression, and you’d always find her with endless questions and engaging reflections!
