
About the Workshop
PsychLine.in is offering a training that will focus on learning all about Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) which is a structured, evidence-based approach that helps individuals manage overwhelming emotions, improve relationships, and reduce impulsive or harmful behaviors. Grounded in a balance of acceptance and change, DBT teaches practical skills to cope more effectively with life’s challenges. This introductory workshop will focus on the four core DBT modules - Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness. Participants will learn foundational concepts and simple, applicable tools to begin using immediately! Participants will receive an e-certificate within 2 days of completion of the workshop after filling out a feedback form.

About the facilitator
Sanjana Karnik is a licensed mental health counselor associate (LMHCA- MC61520850) in Seattle, Washington, USA with a Master of Arts in Applied Clinical Psychology from Penn State University, PA, USA, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Jai Hind College, Mumbai, India. Specializing in working with children, adolescents, and young adults, she addresses mental health concerns such as behavior and social issues, trauma, depression, anxiety, and stress. Using an integrative approach to therapy, she combines aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-focused CBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Person-Centered Therapy.
