
About the Workshop
A client’s case history is at the forefront of therapy, providing the psychologist with all the required information to accurately meet clients’ needs. Through this workshop, you will learn the A to Z of clinical case history taking that involves establishing rapport, forming a therapeutic alliance and relationship with the client, as well as conducting a mental status examination which requires making all the right observations and employing techniques to elicit the appearance, attitude, activity level, mood and affect, speech and language, thought processes, cognition, insight, judgement and more in psychotherapy. With these practical skills not receiving the right amount of attention as much as psychological theories do, this 2-day workshop aims to provide aspiring psychologists with another essential skill set which shall benefit their career, required to make one a GOOD therapist. Participants will receive an e-certificate upon completion of the workshop within 2 days after filling out a feedback form.

About the facilitator
Dr. Niharika Thakkar is the founder of PsychLine.in. She is a therapist and behavioral scientist by profession as well as by passion. She currently lives in New York, holds a Ph.D. in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Leiden University in the Netherlands, but is most prominently known for her passion for mental health awareness and her commitment to breaking the stigma around mental health care in India.
