About the Workshop

Art is a creative form of expression and has largely been viewed as a recreational activity. This workshop introduces art as utilized in the form of a therapeutic procedure. Different creative processes are discussed that contributes towards well-being and catharsis. This 3-hour online workshop will focus on the history of art therapy, its techniques, and its applications. The workshop will also aim to delineate the difference between art therapy and art classes, describing the work of art therapists while utilizing some case studies and activities. Participants will receive an e-certificate upon completion of the workshop and filling out the feedback form within 2 days of the workshop.

About the facilitator

Sakshi Sapra is an experienced educator, and a dedicated counsellor, with a deep passion for promoting mental well-being through creative and evidence-based approaches. Over the years, she has worked extensively in educational and therapeutic settings, supporting individuals of diverse backgrounds in their emotional and psychological growth. Her interest in Art Therapy has allowed her to combine creativity with mental health care, helping clients express themselves in ways beyond words. Through art-based interventions, counselling sessions, and psycho-educational programs, she aims to create a safe, compassionate, and empowering space for healing and self-discovery. With a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Manipal University, Jaipur, and significant hands-on experience in NGOs, schools, and clinical environments, she strives to bring an integrative approach to her work—blending psychological expertise, creativity, and empathy.
