Want to learn and discuss various research designs, methodologies, and scientific approaches? PsychLine.in invites you to join our Journal Club- “The Psych Audit”.

About the Club

The Psych Audit is a weekly club to encourage and facilitate a conversation about Research in Psychology. The club will essentially be an online discussion-oriented space, where members can regularly meet to understand, discuss, and evaluate ongoing scientific research in the field, while also looking at potential directions for future research!

Members of the club meet once every week for 1 to 1.5 hours. Three scientific papers will be selected every month, based on a monthly agenda.

Timing: 7:00pm to 8:30pm

Duration: 1.5 hours, once a week

Fees: ₹500 per month

Maximum capacity: 6 participants

Agenda: Quarter-Life Crisis

Every week, the group will take up one scientific paper as per the monthly agenda, to discuss and reflect on it with a focus on Research Methodology. The club’s primary motive is to facilitate an understanding of research methodology and reflect critically upon research in psychology. We aim to critically evaluate, and understand the techniques employed in scientific articles, as well as discuss the future directions for research.

Who can join?

Enthusiastic, self-driven members, who are passionate about learning and research in the field of Psychology. The candidates must be in the final year of their undergraduate degree (BA/BSc/BEd etc) or pursuing a higher degree (Masters or above) in order to join the club. A basic understanding of research methodology, although not mandatory, will be helpful!

About the facilitator

Aseess Chadha is an enthusiastic, compassionate, and driven individual, deeply interested in the field of Psychology. She has completed her Bachelors in psychology through University of Delhi and Masters in Clinical Psychology through Amity University, Noida, with rigorous training in different psychotherapeutic approaches including cognitive-behavioural therapy, dialectical-behaviour therapy, solution-focused therapy, as well as psychodynamic and existential therapies. She passionately engages in research in the field of community mental health, with her recent projects investigating intergenerational trauma, anxiety, cyberbullying, economic challenges with mental health as well as identity and self in neurodivergent individuals.
